I added a layer 1- year old to my flock of 12- week olds, she laid 7- days straight, skipped1 day laid again but now hasn't layed for 4- days straight, any suggestions why

She may have just realized that she's in new surroundings and other members of your flock. Could very well be she's just upset over her new digs...I'd say watch her closely, but she should snap out of it soon!

It's been a full week now since the last egg.... any tips or do I just need to wait it out?

she is eating grower with oyster shells in a separate feeder and getting plenty of water. She's mixed with younger pullets so I don't want to do straight layer feed yet

Those eggs were doubtless under development before she was moved. Being with pullets is pretty disturbing for her. When she is settled--probably not too long, she will lay again. Moving a hen is pretty traumatic for them, new companions are not friends. Patience. Mixing any new birds, any age, especially differents breeds and/or ages of birds, is not always an easy task. And yes, a change of feed can also interrupt laying. Grower won't hurt a bit ( I feed medicated Starter to my chicks, until the pullets begin to lay-about 4 1/2 months, then mix Layer Ration with Starter for a week or so. ) Have separate pens for age groups, no mix of ages or hatches. There are various ways to help them adjust to mixing.....I just rarely do it at all.... Good luck

thanks, good to know she'll get back on track eventually, she was a trade for a rooster and seems happy but I think you're right a change of diet and home are big moves, hoping for all of them to get into gear soon

It's been 12- days since an egg now, I know she'll " snap out of it" at some point but I may have mentioned nuggets and soup in my pep talk this afternoon
