(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We have 10 chickens- 3 roos and 7 hens. We have had chickens for approximately 2 years now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
(3) What breeds do you have?
Brahma Roo, Chantecler bantam Roo, Rhode Island Red Roo (I think?), 3 leghorn hens, 2 Golden Comet hens, 1 black minorca bantam hen
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Our Chickens are our pets! We love feeding them, daily care, and collecting eggs for our family and friends.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My 11 year old son does most of the daily work to take care of our flock, we are teaching him about responsibility. He really enjoys our birds! We use this forum to help get advice when chickens are sick or for other health related concerns.

The people here are extremely knowledgeable and very willing to come alongside and make suggestions or give advice. It's a great place to add to your "chicken expertise"
