Hello.

Recently my flock of 3 quickly became a flock of one so I have rescued another 3 ex-battery hens. I didn’t have an option of having a separate run so have had to put them in together (I did it at night so they all woke up together). I have a couple of questions that I’d really like some advice on.
They’re sorting out their pecking order and one has a bit of a graze/injury on its comb. It says to remove if the comb is injured, but how much comb injury is to be expected as part of the usual pecking order sorting.
Another one of the hens seems to have a bigger beak at the bottom than at the top. Is this normal? I’ve added a picture of the comb and beak. Any advice appreciated!
