New hens being lazy with their eyes shut

UPDATE: The hens did not look any better today. So I went to the vet for some ADVICE. And the next thing I know they ring up 30$ for FIFTEEN doses of medicine. That is enough for 5 days for the 3 hens. Seriously? Anyways, i'm sure the shots will take care of the problem.

Lessons learned:
1) Do not by chickens that are kept in an unclean and crowded environment, they are probably sick.
2) DONT GO TO THE VET REGARDING CHICKENS.

Surely I could've got an entire bottle of medicine to inject for a better price, right?

The bottle I stated above cost me 25$ but it'll go bad before I us it all. I don't know how many it treats but it a check of a lot. I gave my one shot for seven days and have more than I'll ever use left. What did he give you?

Sad to say the vet probably isn't 'making' that much - the big pharmacy companies are tho'...same for human meds

They may have rung it up, but you didn't have to take it/pay for it (just the consult) if you wanted to source it elsewhere for cheaper

Yeah, I know, they sort of acted like it was the only cure. I don't know, I'm new to all this.

Not sure what the name of it is, but I know there is only about 1.5 tablespoons of liquid in the bottle he gave me.
