(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? - I just got my first chickens in April.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? - I currently have 20. 6 of which are roosters. So time to weed out.
(3) What breeds do you have? — Barred Rocks and Dominique.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? — My chickens are my babies. I just love their personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? — Knitting, crochet, gardening, raising meat rabbits and reading. Hopefully sewing soon.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. - I’m a stay at home. Husband is a truck driver. We have one daughter. 4 dogs, blue heeler, GSD, Jack Russell and a Wolfdog, currently 14 rabbits and 20 chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
— I joined the FB page a while back but am not currently using FB so decided to join here so I could have access to all the info and experience.
