Bantams but also checking to see what's available locally for me.

Why local? Mail order is almost always cheaper and quick. Most nurseries are out of production until February, but many are taking advance orders. Check out their on-line catalogs and compare. Plus, the chicksʻ health and live delivery are usually guaranteed.

I'll hatch yah some silkies or BR's. That way I could use the bator and not have to keep the chicks.

Hey, i'm in western mass..i got alot of mine at Klems in Spencer mass...dont know if thats by you at all?...but, that was this spring....check out craigslist..i see them all the time in there...good luck, Wendy

if you want grown standard chickens for quick eggs there is a store in berkley called sticks and stones and they have full grown delawares , Barred Rocks and RIR for sale. I think the girl was telling someone they were getting $8 for each hen. They also have bunnies and mini donkeys and ducks and pea fowl and pheasants I love the place
