New here ~ ques about breed and gender

Hi everyone, we just added a feathered family member via my daughter's preschool project of the life-cycle of a chick. We are one of the 5 lucky families who took one home.

I am hoping we have a hen b/c if it's a rooster, we'll have to give him away to someone with a farm (we live in a neighborhood not into wildlife).

Anyway, here's a pic I took last week, she's 4 weeks old:

She has since been moved to the yard in a makeshift coop I guess you could call it lol...

If anyone could tell me if this is a girl as we are hoping and thinking and what breed, we'd really appreciate it! TY in advance for your help!

Pretty! Hard to tell hen or roo, but from this angle looks like a hen. maybe post a picture of her standing up?
