Hi! I'm new on this forum, though I have perused discussions in the past when I was looking for information online. I finally decided it was time for me to join in on the discussions. We have had chickens for about 4 years. We only have English Orpingtons, though we started out with a few others. We quickly decided we wanted to focus on Imported English Orpington lines. We currently have 15 total. We also have Boer goats and have ventured this year into raising a hog. We also have Great Pyrenees dogs. Other interesting things about us: I homeschool my children, my husband is in the Marine Corps reserve in addition to his civilian job. His "free time" is helping us on the micro-farm, of course.

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
