This is my first time having chickens and ducks. We currently have 1 rooter, 4 hens and 2 ducks. Both the ducks are mallard, the rooster and 1 hen are leg horns, 2 hens are black sex link and we have 1 red sex link hen. Found this website when looking for ways to improve my run/coop. So far I have found some great stuff!! We are starting off with back yard chickens and ducks then hopefully getting goats to add into the mix at some point. We also have 3 dogs (all heelers) to help with the mini farm we are starting.

If you haven't yet, please make your chickens a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise.
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!
