As @TwoCrows said, start browsing around the site, I would start in the Learning Center. Read and start threads to ask questions, try to stay in the forum that best fits your question, as you will get better answers that way. Other than that I would build a much larger coop than you think you will need (at least 4 sq feet per bird), as you may find your flock gets larger over time. Otherwise referred to as "chicken math".
Enjoy yourself as you educate yourself, and please ask questions. Don't hesitate to jump into a thread you are learning from or that interests you.
