Good point! Our school district has really tough restrictions on what ou can and cannot use in the greenhouses where students work so we literally cannot use anything remotely toxic. We fertilize our baskets and pots with a slow release pellet. We manually weed the greenhouse and we use lady bugs and praying mantis for pest control. Not the most effective methods but its what we got :/Good idea, just remeber geese and other wild life are very sensitive to chemicals like round up and fertilizers.
