New home!!! Yeah!! VERY, VERY, VERY pic heavy.

Oh my goodness, what a small world. When Jessica was born, we were living in Rancho Cordova off of La Riviera. Not too far from Mather Field/Bradshaw/Watt. Where is the overcrossing named after her? Do you ever come down this way??? I'd love to meet you

johnnyjack, you really don't want to get into a house, especially nowadays, with no money down. The market is too unstable. If you don't have a downpayment, then I guess it's best to rent until you can save up enough to put down - a rent to own, where some money gets set aside each month by the owner is one way to get that downpayment pulled together, albeit a slow one. Oh, to win a lottery.....

It is the Mather Field Rd
"Alice Livingston Memorial Overcrossing".

We feel very honored that her memorial is actually the exit she took everyday to her home, instead of outside her community.

I get there now and then. Next trip I will contact you ahead of time!

Okie, I used to work with a couple from OK, and they were absolutely amazed at what $250 got you here. Squat! They ended up in a condo. Back home (they were from Norman) they said they could get a four bedroom with a pool and acreage for that. Plus the winters, she was always freezing here. But the money is much better here, especially for the work they did (both worked in consulting engineering, as I did). It's a trade off. I wonder if they'll ever go back?

I grew up in Southern Calif. When we left we knew that we could never go back to live again. It is soooo ridiculusly expensive. When we left we sold our house for 235.......and 13 short years later.....the same house would cost us 900-1mil. Crazy......

Congrats on the new place.....looks beautiful.
