He's actually more filled out than I thought he'd be as well. He turned 18 months old yesterday, I should have had a little birthday cake ready for him

He came from the northeastern part of Georgia, I'm in the Seattle area... So almost as far away as he could possibly be and still be on the same continent! He had to do a couple of days layover in Lexington while he waited for the truck for the second leg. Initially I wasn't thrilled about that but I actually think it was better in the end. It was great for him to have a rest and recoup before he had to make the longer leg of the journey. All in all a successful trip.

I spent some time brushing him this evening and letting him get used to me. He's a bit nibbly - typical for a baby - so I'll have to stay on top of that. Otherwise he's well behaved and friendly. He's definitely got some fire in there, but seems sensible so that is wonderful. I'm actually glad to see he's a little hot, for what he's going to be doing as a grown up he'll need it. Hot + sensible is good, hot + stupid, not so much!

Next task is seeing if the blanket I bought him fits... Our days have been warm but it's down in the 30's at night already and being from a much warmer climate, he has absolutely no insulation. Fingers crossed, had to guess at the size!
