Welcome RN chickens are great ! You will love their antics and differing personalities! And then there's the eggs BONUS. I got mine from that hatchery and they were great to work with. Good luck with them I'm in a colder climate so I have heavy breeds up here in Midwest . Make sure you plan for heat maintanence as it's hard on them . Read up on that for sure. But we have folks here from dessert. Is there any predators there?

Alley cats, raccoons, my dogs, and birds. Not too bad; looking at security measures for the coop. I’ve got a Pinterest board filled with hot chicken ideas.
