X-Ray Egg What the heck

Bad news. The vet said she didn't make it. Her heart stopped while she was in recovery and they couldn't get it restarted.

Thank you for all the info. I never knew there were so many egg oddities possible. I'm learning something new every day.

Oh my, I'm so very sorry.
I know there are no words that really help, but you did what you could, you couldn't have done more. At least she went peacefully and without suffering. I know you will miss her.

Update: Her sister from the same hatching just passed today from reproductive malfunction as well. She went quickly, before we could get her to the vet even. If this isn't genetic i want a refund on my bachelor's degree. Sigh. None of my other girls have ever had so much as a cold... one had bumblefoot once. But both my prairie bluebell girls passing within months from the same reproductive issue is statistically significant. We will miss them dearly. Barely a year old, sweet wee things.
