New in Suburban Ohio

Hello all. I am new to the site. Our city council will be voting on a new ordinance Monday evening that would allow residents to keep up to five hens on a city lot. It is currently illegal to perform any "farming" inside of the city limits. Thankfully our council has seen the problems with the old catch all ordinance and are working to update it. I found out about this by accident and emailed my council woman who was aginst allowing us to raise chickens. After exchanging emails for a couple mounths I believe I have changed her mind and it looks like the new ordinance has gained enough traction and should pass. My sons and I are really hoping this is the case. Anyhow I hope to learn as much as possible from your wonderful forum.
