Thanks! It looks good enough for me but would change some things to make it look lots better. It is heavy since I used steel for the racks but was easier for me to work with.

Do you have any pictures of how all of your racks are conected together, and all the way to the motor?

Also can you tell me what diode's you used?

the racks are all connected just by using a straight piece of light gauge bar stock 3/4" wide. I drilled 3 holes in it to coincide with where the racks would all be at the same angle at any given time. I drilled holes in one side of each of the racks where the bar stock would be attached and bolted it to the racks using loktite on the threads. The top rack also has another arm that attaches to the motor arm which the length of both has to be determined in each situation.

This picture shows the arm from the top rack attaching to the motor arm. the motor arm could be made of angle but I used flat stock and welded 2 flat pieces on a 90 to push the limit switches. The diodes are 1N5402 . I don't wanna open it right now or Id take some different pics but its pretty straight forward. Once the rack were connected together by the one piece I had the motor in place and pushed the rack to the down position and measured how much travel there was when I raised it to the fully up position. I made my arm that connected to the motor 9" so it would allow me to cut it if necessary. Once I got it done I put it on the motor without locking it with the set screw and moved it along with the racks to detemine the length of it and the rack connecting arm through trial and error.

Ok, thank you I think I understand now I thought thats how it was but wasn't sure.

Can you tell me what limit switches you used also? And did you make that bracket for your motor or did it com with it?

I made the motor arm myself . I bought the piece that goes onto the shaft of the motor at the local hardware store and just welded the arm to that so it can be removed still. The limit switches I got from allelectronics.com but are just nomally closed limit swiches. The only thing with the timer setup is you dont want both stations coming on at the same time.

Ok, thank you for all the help. The hardest thing is trying to find a motor ive found all the other stuff now but can seem to find a motor anywhere.

Ill try to find the motor number for the one I used. I found it on ebay after trying a different one that spun way too fast.
