New Incubator Choice

I also have a Hoverbator 1588 w/turner. I’m on day 10 with my eggs but day 14 with the incubator. Since I turned it on I have not done a thing to it but add water! Love that!!!

Also, mine is on the dinning room table and looks great there, it’s the new centerpiece. I told the wife it was a requirement to put it there and to keep the curtains in that room shut! lol!! It’s all in the directions just read them! lol!! Just wait until she learns about chicken math…..to be continued.

Thanks for the advice. The unit I bought is the LG still air. Someone put a turner in it, and it is a GQF model turner. I think I will go with the 1588 and move the turner. I may then just use the LG as a hatcher, or backup unit.

As far as adding it in to the furniture, not ever likely. All my equipment is staging in the garage until a building can be purchased to house it in. The price I am selling eggs and the price I get for chickens will not yet support a breeding and hatching operation.

I set 60 eggs in lockdown yesterday. 10 chickies have hatched today so far and 12 more pips. Some aren't due to hatch until Thursday.
