New Jersey

Hi...I am in the border of NJ/NY and have raised chickens for several years. I recently hatched nine chicks and my luck would give me a six to three ratio..roosters to hens. I'm still waiting to make the final call on some but it is not looking good. I would love to rehome the Roos who are a blue favacuana, barred Cochin, barred olive egger, naked neck, and a heritage Dominique. They are only four weeks old and I do not mind holding onto them until they get older. If you are interested, let me know.

Maryellen...I am happy to get them a loving home...so I am asking nothing. And yes, he will be a very handsome Rooster. He seems to already be protective of the others...along with the heritage dominique. Depending on how many hens you or your neighbor have, you/she could take more than one rooster. Also, I have read that if they grow up together then there will not be fighting. This would all be very funny only to buy back some chicks next spring! Thanks for helping me look into the options! I tacked on a photo of the blue favacuana.

Great. Since two will be going, she can have them now or wait until they get a bit older. I'm fine with either (or until they start crowing). I have two cochins and both are looking like boys. Honestly, the nice thing about these unusual breeds is that they are all unique and gorgeous! Just let me know
