3 more years. So, to become specialized, I could be going to school for 12 more years. Oh well, if I can get a job I like, it will be worth it. Cornell and Rutgers are definitely two of my choices, but I will still look around.
Last plug for the nursing end......... Now a days, the doctors see appointments and hand their patients off to the nurses with their treatment orders. The nurses are the ones that get to do most of the "fun stuff". Nurses can specialize in anything a doctor can and make a great living at it. Most nurses have a two year animal science degree and work while they obtain their two year specialty degree if they choose that route. Just another option...........
