Hello all.

I'm so excited to be part of this group. I'm new to backyard chickens and I'm looking forward to my new adventure. I'm attending a chicken seminar this coming Monday and can order my chicks then. I've been looking over the forum and you folks have fantastic advice. Thanks so much.

That is interesting that you are going to a chicken seminar. Is it just for your area, like city? Or was it brought about by an informational hobby site like this? I wonder where I could go to see about seminars?

And yes, the folks on this site sure are nice. I just signed up recently and there has only been information, and good will all round. I'm happy to share my excitement about chickens here.

The seminar is being held at the Paris Farmers Union, but I have seen them advertised at Agway and I think Tractor Supply. Not sure if you have any of those in your area, but you can check it out if you do. I'm looking forward to it....I want to make sure I'm doing things the right way.
