Hi. Thanks for letting me into the group. We're both retired. We have 4.9 acres, most of it wild, but we raise garlic, raspberries, tomatoes, carrots, and lots of other vegetables. We have only five chickens and that's enough for us. Chanteclers. The first ever truly Canadian breed, developed at the Abbey of Notre-Dame du Lac in Oka Quebec by brother Wilfrid Chatelain early in the 20th century. They're known to be cold resistant. Nice medium size white birds and they're giving us between three and five brown eggs a day.
