New layer? Egg bound/pain?

Thank you so much for all of your help. I totally understand she's all over the place. I will look to order her kit (thank you for the heads up on the tubing)

She's definitely more active and vocal this morning.

This is her poop from overnight.

I'm looking into the feeding kits and food. Is there anything specific I should look for in the formula? And they also have "pet feeding tube" kits, for puppies/kittens etc. Is there a difference? I'm wondering if maybe my local feed store or tractor supply would have what I need

I think most people use Kaytee exact baby parrot food for tube feeding. You can get it on Amazon. You might be able to get it at Petco or any other pet store that has parrots.

I also found a head light like hikers might use to be incredibly useful to allow me to see down my ducks throat during the catheter insertion.

The ones for the puppies are too small. You need to get on about the size of the tube in that link that I sent you in post # 69. I looked in the "questions" on amazon to see if anyone put the size of the tube and someone posted that it was 6 mm. So I looked up the conversion to FR and it's equal to 18 fr which is what you want.

Wow. Sounds like this situation has grown. You mentioned about her neck. Do you think that if something could have gotten to her that a bite may have caused an abscess? It could be under the skin and it might make her run a fever with an underlying infection which may not be that major or that lengthy hopefully but it might cause her to have a drop in appetite and activity levels for awhile. You might want to try some antibiotics but for ducks I wouldn’t have a clue but I just thought of that when you mentioned that she could have gotten possibly attacked. Hope she gets better really soon. Sorry she is sick.

Just an update! So far so good. We're still not out of the woods, but she is eating and honking a lot like her normal self. She doesn't have much of a limp and her neck is staring to be held a little higher!

No eggs yet and I'm still giving vitamins. But she is doing MUCH better! I'm hoping we continue the trend upwards!

Thank you to each and every one of you for your help. We really appreciate it!!!

Yay!! I'm so happy she's feeling so much better, and especially that she's eating almost like normal! That's wonderful news!! Yippee!
