New layer taking a break?

Our EE Becky started laying at 7 months. She laid three eggs, three days in a row and hasn't laid anything for three days. Her vent isn't pulsing, food intake and poops look good. Nice red comb. Her main issue is her scissor beak, so we wondered if she wasn't getting enough calcium and has a soft shelled egg. I don't feel anything there, but might be doing it wrong. Could this be normal for a new layer or should I start trying to intervene?

She looks completely normal :) Pullets who have just began laying aren't going to lay an egg every single day. What kind of feed are you giving her?
She gets all flock feed since we have chicks and roosters, but I supplement calcium. Not sure if she can pick it up with her beak. If it was every other day, I wouldn't worry, but three eggs in a row and then nothing....Thanks for the reply, I feel better knowing it's normal.

Btw, her friend is standing guard at the coop door and singing an egg song like she's the first chicken to lay an egg!

It's hard to say if it's the calcium or not....not sure she would need more calcium after just one week, but best figure out how to get her to take the supplement(oyster shells?).

Some of my hens have taken a whole week to start laying again, especially when it’s colder outside. I wouldn’t worry. Hot pepper flakes in food usually help to start them up again. :)
