New layer walking with wings slightly out

Had my first egg july 4th and my birds were doing the same thing and only started doing it right before they started laying so I think although warm, it does have something to do with getting ready to lay.....

I thought it was strange I never seen any do it until I had a layer. And now another was doing it who I suspicioned could be my next layer.

You can determine who is laying by doing a vent check. Wet vent = layer, Dry vent = not yet

Or are they indeed just hot?

My first pullet to lay from my first Flock. Summertime July 30, 2016. She just came out of the nest. Wings spread. . I checked nest box and found the first egg. White egg is ceramic. . I don't remember the temperature but it was hot, at least in the 80s Fahrenheit. GC

Yes! Looks like my girl. She walks like this all the time now.
