Hi. I'm Simone. I started with a few hybrid chickens for eggs a few months ago and now have 3 generations of Orpington chickens. I've struggled with homemade incubator and scrambled posted eggs but am muddling along pretty well. Gotten well setup now though.
Have dogs and snakes. Generally always some sort of rescue going on in the house too.
I've come up with a few solutions to common problems so I reckon I might be able to share, so I can give back to the community here that's really helped me.

Welcome to BYC, we are so glad you joined us. :yesss:

This video will help you learn how to navigate this site:

5 adults(4 hybrid girls and a legbar cockerel), 9 Orpington teenagers, and today 13 newly hatch Orpingtons.
They're taking over the garden and there are brooders aplenty.

Welcome @Simone Van Eijck. You've got your plate full, whew! Almost made me tired reading it all! Just kidding. Well you've got your hands full for a while. Excited for you. What kind of Orpingtons do you have? Any pics? So happy you joined our family.
