Some of you have noticed that we have a new medal. While we have had the In Memoriam thread since 2011, it bothered me that the people that we interacted with and who were a valuable part of our community were largely forgotten. Everyone deserves to be recognized and remembered and honored.
So.....
The "Loving Legacy" Medal is a cherished tribute to our departed members who have left an indelible mark on the BYC community. They are remembered for their kindness, wisdom, and contributions that enriched the lives of those around them. This medal honors their lasting impact, ensuring their memory continues to inspire and resonate within our community, serving as an eternal appreciation for their guiding light and enduring legacy.
This medal won't be a part of the quarterly BYC Recognition Medal process. We will still be doing the In Memoriam thread the same way, but we will add the new medal.
If you are made aware that we have lost a BYC member, please send me a private message with the following information:
BYC Username
Real name
Year dates of birth/death
Link to a memorial thread here on BYC
Link to an obituary notice for confirmation.
Once confirmed, I will apply the Loving Legacy medal, replace their title with their birth year and death year, add them to the In Memoriam thread and put a link in their signature to a memorial thread here on BYC, if there is one.
