Well aren't you the lucky one! There's all kinds of info on here, so you should have no problem learning how to take care of them.
As for the eggs, sell them, donate them to a food bank or church, give them to friends. Shoot, give them to your new neighbors as sort of a reverse 'welcome wagon.'
it must have been fate that brought you to those little souls..
your getting so many eggs a day . i dont know where you are located but in the nearest town or city the local soup kitchens always get can goods donated but very rarely get fresh meat and eggs.. untill you get the hang of them and perhaps sell them from the driveway, give to your friends and family the soup kitchens will be so thankful to your for your donations.. each year my husband and son hunt and they always get more meat then we can use and we donate it to the kitchen in our town. extra vegies form the garden too.. you just cant beat fresh food.
good luck and I hope to hear much more from you as you take this chicken journey.. but BEWARE ,,, ( that was my spooky type)
chickens are addictve they are so sweet adn so smart. after a long day they will make you smile and laugh.. and just feel better all over..
