New member and chicken owner from Las Lomas California

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

My wife and I did the bus conversion ourselves. And yes,we live in it, but not necessarily adhering to the letter of the law. The bus has:
1200 watts solar on roof
5 220 ah 12 volt batteries
150 gals fresh water
150 gals grey water
100 lb propane tank
Composting toilet
Full size gas range
Queen bed
2 closets
Tiled shower
Lots of storage
Enough about the bus,although if anyone is intersted in more details pm me.

Back to the chickens.....I did get a second egg today but it was busted up like it was smashed. I will look into that now and hope for a steady stream of eggs soon, i would love an omelette this weekend.

The egg issue seems to be resolved. Three eggs unbroken now so I have my fingers crossed.

Thanks! We have been living it for about 18 months. We were in the mountains in New Mexico, northern Arizona,and now here near Monterey Bay California. It was a lot of work but so worth it!
