Hens will often want to use the same nest box - even if the others are identical. They must think one is the "preferred" box. I think it means your silver one is thinking about laying but not ready yet. Often they will explore a nest box, which is usually a sign that eggs may be coming soon. Actually I couldn't see a silver hen anywhere in your photo. My eyesight must be getting worse.
