Ducks can most certainly survive the winter. Our ducks would RATHER be out in the cold, blowing snow than inside. They love it!
Maybe if you can get them outside in a pen she can come down and spend time with them and learn just how cute and cuddly and funny they are.
Reassure her that they are not house ducks permanently. Maybe her inexperience with them just needs some coaxing.... we've all been there at some point whether ducks, chickens or whatever.
If you must rehome them you are certainly at the right place but I hope they get to stay

BYC is a helpful site providing all the information you need to know about poultry! There is always space for more members on the BYC roost!
Even if there is just a wooden/plastic coop or shelter to prevent wind or rain, your ducks will definitely be fine. Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!
