Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
With that many chickens and designed gardens you must have the chickens in a fenced in area. Mine were well on their way to destroying my landscaping before they were corralled.

We built a 28' x 12' run with an attached 7' x 4' coop. They only free range when we are outside with them. Too many hawks, eagles, coyotes, etc. around our place to free range them without keeping an eye on them. We don't have much in the way of landscaping yet, but we are planning on planting a few gardens and a small orchard which will all be fenced because of the herd of deer that live near here.
