Howdy from Texas!!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Grew up around chickens- friends always had them
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 6 straight run bantams.. A couole weeks old. I think they may be d'Uccles
(3) What breeds do you have? not really sure- maybe someone can help with that.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? im excited for the eggs and the chicken antics!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I craft and bake and love to be in my garden. A bit of a plantaholic. Also a hobby writer and an online teacher. I say its a hobby because I love it so much!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. have a teen and a husband who is supportive of my hobbies. They know this one comes with more work, but also a big reward. I live in a small town and hope to transform our yard to a more sustainable oasis.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I have been coming here for answers for a while. I research everything before starting and found so many good ideas I knew now that i officially had chickies I had to join the conversation. ☺
