We are the Shamer’s, Todd & Jen. We are new chicken parents. We started our flock about 3.5 weeks ago. We currently have 21 chickens and 2 turkeys. We have a variety of breeds that include: Sage Gem Bantam, Silkie bantams, Asian Blacks, Buff Orphingtons, Olive Eggers, Barred Rocks, Production Reds, Rhodes Island Reds, and the Turkey’s are Broad Breasts White Turkey.
My husband has been waiting to have a flick the past 16 years, with everything going on in the world right now and work being minimal we thought it would be great to start now. My husband is a truck driver in Baltimore, MD and I own a cleaning business. We also currently have two dogs, Coco a 12.5 yo min pin and Chewy a 4 yo pugzu. Hobbies include family time around a fire or camping, gardening, home projects and working on his truck he is building. We found BYC today on Facebook after our friend Amanda posted about it being the best place to get your questions answered.
