Hey Everyone,
Glad to have finally joined, been lurking and browsing the forums for a while and hoping to find and possibly provide information from our experiences with our flock.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- We got chickens probably 3 years ago and it's been a fun ride. I was reluctant at first but i enjoy the eggs and all the weird things chickens do.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 6...
(3) What breeds do you have?
I don't remember all the great names for breeds, one is a plymouth blue rock, maybe an americana, golden lace, one is striped black and white. I don't remember the others.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
All of the strange things chickens do and the phrases that relate to them. Pecking Order, rose colored glasses, hen house...
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Fishing.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 2 basset hounds.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Internet google searches.

I am sure you can provide assistance to others while learning more yourself. Do you have pictures of your animals?
Welcome to BYC! I had to look up how chickens somehow conjure up visions of rose-colored glasses, because my chickens are skeptical of anyone or anything new. 
Now I think I need to get some for them. thanks for the good laugh!
