Hi all! I am just getting into raising some chickens...yet another hobby for me, LOL! Mostly interested in raising egg-laying breeds, so I am doing research to see what breeds I want to try out. I have a small mixed flock of a Barred Rock, Brown Leghorn, Buff Orpington, and a rooster that looks kind of like a game-type that showed up one day from the nearby barns. I raised the hens from chicks, and am working on another Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, and a few others as I pick up a few more chicks in the next week. Also thinking of trying my hand at incubating a batch of eggs...
