Not sure where to start, so I suppose anyplace is good as another!

I have a small amount of chickens (4 hens, 2 roosters - looking to take care of the second rooster because two roosters is too much for 4 hens I believe) The hens arr Silver Laced Wyandottes (2), GOlden Laced Wyandottes (1) and an Arucana (1). The roosters are both Golden Laced Wyandottes. (Very pretty)

I live in Northern Michigan, a climate which I have learned treats some coop designs better than others. My current coop style is a "chicken ark" type but it too small and doesn't protect against the elements adequately in my opinion. You can guess what this spring's project will be...a new coop! (Which by the way, I have gotten a TON of wonderful ideas for from this site!)

Every time I've had a "chicken question" I've ended up on the forums here as a 'lurker' and I thought it high time to join in on the discussion and take an active part!

Cheers!
