I bet your granddaughter loves doing that with you- I wish our season was a little longer so we could plant some tomatoes at this time of year.Went out and planned some cherry tomatoes, jalapeno peppers,bush beans and parsley with the granddaughter.

Finally picking tomatoes - got the first "Black Krim" off the vine. It will be a tomato sandwich by this afternoon. Picked some corn the other day, it has had a rough year with our high winds we have over and over. Still delicious! got the best news- our son and his wife are expecting a baby girl! they want to name her ,"Merigold" that's what's growing in our family garden! Hahah
I looked it up and it said it wasn’t possible but maybe it could be a cross pollination between 2 watermelon varieties and it caused the weird shape. one small variety and one bigger or something?I bought these watermelon melon plants from Homedepot and I have 2 vines that are gourd shaped. The rest are normal. Do you think the plants that produced these cross pollinated w gourds or is that possible?
