(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new flocksters - we got 13 chicks at the beginning of July 2019
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
13
(3) What breeds do you have?
Silver grey dorkings, a buff orpington, black sumatras, buff and light brahmas, a mystery chick, salmon faverolles
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I look forward to finding out . . . for now I am delighted with their silliness and driven half mad with the all the details and advice. We look forward to their help tilling and working compost.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We like art, music, willow trees, history, small town life
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have a lovely Formosan mix dog and two cats. There are 4 of us - 2 parents, two teenaged kids.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
It's the done thing, everyone says.
