The avatar is a caracara (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caracara). I saw quite a few on a recent trip to Colombia. Amazing bird.

I'm still working on our coop design. Is there anyplace I can post it for comments and suggestions?

What type of chickens do you plan to get?

I know Araucana are native to South America.

I haven't considered which chickens to get yet. I haven't done much reading about it, nor have I seen what I can get locally.
