I don't permit my dogs and chickens to intermingle either. I keep my flock behind electrified poultry netting that encloses 1/3 acre. I've never had a ground predator loss in the pen and after 4 years, only one loss to a hawk. Many attempts but there is a lot of cover in the pen and always at least one rooster on the look out to sound the alarm.I'm more worried about hawks and other furry predators than my personal dogs and guest dogs.
