Hi everyone! I'm Beth. I am very new to chickens. We just got our new babies 3 weeks ago. They are starting to look more like teenagers than baby chicks now. I can't believe they already have different personalities! We originally wanted 6 chickens but there were 8 in the bin so we took them all. They are all Rhode Island Reds! I don't know much about chickens and it took my husband 10 years to talk me into them but now I'm obsessed. I check on them multiple times a day and when I'm not with them, I'm reading about them. My husband and I have been married 17 years (together for 18 years). We have a 16 year old daughter and twin boys that are 10. The boys have a lot more interest in the chicks than she does. I'm excited to start reading everything on this site and posting my questions as they come up!
