New member, Howdy

Wow incredible experiences. Wish we were close enough for coffee and time to hear your stories. I really enjoy learning about different experiences from some else. We are learning so much about each other’s lives , except I don’t know where your interest in poultry lies?
I started out raising quail at the tender age of 7, that grew to chickens, ducks, geese, pheasants, Emu's, parrots, parakeets, hawks, owls, crows, and songbirds.

Also had Registerd Horn Herefords, American Saddle Bred horses, Spanish goats, Barbado sheep, Texas Dall sheep, Mouflon sheep, exotics included Black buck, Axis deer and Fallow deer. Phew! of course not all at once but through the years.
Nowdays, my primary interest is with pheasants and quail.
Hate to be a stick in the mud here but due to the fact this is an "New Members" introduction page, may I suggest we move this convo to the Texas thread!

Yeah, I know where Yellow House is...like you, I grew up "land poor", we had farm in Collin county, North of McKinney, a ranch in Zavala county and the farm at Muleshoe. I would'nt trade it for anything though, was a great way to live and be brought up....alot of land, a little money, and alot of love.
Are you a Booth? I’m a Wilson but my great Uncle Bill was a Roberts and as well my mother’s father’s brother, both cotton buyers in the 40s and 50s and into 60s. Mom went to TCU and got a education degree but mostly graduated chasing a rough stock riding cowboy in the RCA circuit back then. Now Dad.

Don't let first impressions fool you! I am not a friendly person at all,but if you enjoy sand paper, maybe we can find a mutual grit! Ps. I love most everybody

"Brushy"Bill Roberts?
Just uncle Bill to me. His sister Hazel Scott went to work for Stanley Marcus at down town Newman’s in 1929 and worked into their couturier buyer and retired in 1961 and moved back to Lubbock. I have several (many) interesting pieces that were hers. As twins and first grandkids and as most of the Roberts brothers and sisters had no children we got Santa spoiled. I went to the link but didn’t know how to find you. I’m new and an Aggie remember.

Of course shared with Comanche.. we have several places that were most likely perennial encampments complete with fire rocks and eventual arrow head or pottery shard.
