Just uncle Bill to me. His sister Hazel Scott went to work for Stanley Marcus at down town Newman’s in 1929 and worked into their couturier buyer and retired in 1961 and moved back to Lubbock. I have several (many) interesting pieces that were hers. As twins and first grandkids and as most of the Roberts brothers and sisters had no children we got Santa spoiled. I went to the link but didn’t know how to find you. I’m new and an Aggie remember.

My grand mother worked at the downtown store too! In Dallas

Yep, Blackwater Draw had many sites all along it but too many plows destroyed most of those sites. I'm 1/4 Comamche by blood.

Must have really. I bet your grandmother was outgoing. Hazelle was pretty well known there and her book of clients actually was sold to other employees is what I was told. Stanley came into the Nursery, that I ran in Dallas and his daughter and I asked them if they remembered. It was a dumb question, but it did establish common grounds for us.

Actually, pretty reserved and quiet. My Dad also worked there for a short while, when he was in high school, as the Greeter! :lol:
