Welcome to BYC Addie, it’s nice to have another Zonie here! I’m in the Phx area and I highly recommend a kiddie pool and a way to make ice blocks, cubes don’t work because they melt too fast. Put the blocks in the pool and don’t add water. I do this around 2 and again at 4 each day in summer and my crew loves it. Even the ducks will get in to cool off. The flock can sip water and stand in it to cool themselves. Cut a couple of doors in the sides of the pool, but don’t cut through the rim because that provides stability for the whole thing. In addition, lots of shade and some mud puddles help a lot. With our water situation such as it is here in the valley I don’t suggest misters. Good luck!
