Hello everyone. I just found BYC a couple of days ago and I'm so glad I did. I have owned chickens most of my life but only knew that they were chickens and that I liked eggs haha. Anyway I hope to make some friends and learn more about my chickens.

Yes, the eggs sure are great! Chickens can make great pets too and sure be quite entertaining as well. I can't imagine life without my chickens! Ha!

Glad you could join the flock! I too love the fresh eggs and the fact you know exactly where they have come from and how the hens are kept. I also love collecting them, it's still a pleasure to open the nest box up and find the gifts they have left for me.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I think a lot of folks are surprised to learn chickens are more than eggs & dinner. They each have their own personality, & watching chicken TV is more fun than the network shows.
 
They are very fun to watch and listen to. I have 9 2 month old chicks that I have no idea what kind they are, and I just bought 6 americauna chicks that are very vocal lol.
