Hi, I am new to this site so here is a run down of me ...

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens for about twenty years.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
At the moment I have only 5 due to a bird of prey, next year I will be getting another two,

(3) What breeds do you have?
Annie - Araucuna, Dyliss - black tail, Esme - Azur, Susan - Medici and Pepper - Coucou de Rennes

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I find them calming, they give but expect nothing back and accept me into their flock.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I have two dogs Alfie - Havanais and Ben - Golden retriever, and three cats Jezabelle - tabby, Molly - torti. And Sidney - marmalade. I also have a very patient husband - Bill.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are retired in sw France and are carrying out a self build.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have known about byc for some time and finally joined having read a small question relating to omlet hen houses for which I have one.

Hello @Debby in france ! Welcome to BYC @PouleChick lives (relatively) near you and she's doing a big build too. Can you post photos of your chickens, especially your Azur and Medici chickens? They are new breeds to me.

Bonjour and welcome! @Debby in france . Where are you located? We are in the Perigord Blanc - between Bergerac and Perigueux. Are the Azurs the ones that lay greeny / bluey eggs (I think saw them listed on Gamme Vert or somewhere)?
