welcome! I am in Grand Prairie, probably not far from you! How much land do you have? Looking for 3-10 acres so I can have more chickeys, so if there's some available, let us know! We are in surburbia and only can have hens, no roosters. We are just silly about Silkies. I have 4 and then have two Belgian Mille Fleurs, Mille and Camille, which you can meet from my newsletter.
I write a monthly chickey newsletter about my 6 chickens so my ex-coworkers can still get the 'scoop on the coop' even though I'm gone!

We are in Cedar Hill so very close to Alvarado and Grand Prairie. COOL! We live on 5 acres near Joe Pool Lake. As for a few acres for sale around here...hmmmm....I will check that out.

Who is it again that is looking to build a coop? We sent our boys into the woods and they cut some cedar posts for me....that's what we used. That and hardware cloth...I DO NOT do snakes so my coop MUST be snake-proof. Totally worth the extra cost of the hardware cloth to me!! Glad to send you some pics.
