Hey y’all!
I am a 23 year old from Levelland, TX. My husband and I live on a farm with our 2 pigs, 5 dogs, 2 cats, and multiple chickens. I am not new to raising chickens- but I’m a little out of the game. I raised chickens from the time I was 7 years old until I left home for college.
I have a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from Lubbock Christian University and I’m currently earning my Masters in Animal Science with an emphasis on Physiology of Reproduction from Texas Tech.
For the past three years, I have had a small flock of ten black sex links. This year, I have expanded my flock to include Buff Orpringtons, Lavender Orpringtons, Easter Eggers, Black Copper Marans, and Cuckoo Marans. I have BBS Americauna eggs on the way.
My goals are to breed Olive Eggers, Americaunas, Lavender Orpringtons, and Blue Copper Marans.
I’m excited to be back! Chickens are as addictive as I remember!
