(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we are very new to owning and having chickens. We just got our chickens on May 6th, 2017
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 6 chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 2 Danish Leghorns, 2 Barred Rock, and 2 Silver Wyandottes
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google search of course! or perhaps Pinterest searches
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I own 5 Havanese dogs, and have been active in the agility community with them.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. We have about 2 acres and have been wanting to get chickens for a while. Our current home was our vacation home until we moved here permanently last fall. The commute is longer in miles, but worth it. We just had a record winter rain fall this past winter, which almost made us reconsider our decision.
